Punch Bowl Calculator — Ingredients & Bowl Size

A standard punch bowl holds about 5 litres (roughly 25 servings at 200ml each). Large punch bowls hold 8-10 litres. For big parties, you may need multiple bowls or plan to refill regularly.

Plan for 2-3 servings per guest if punch is the main drink, or 1-2 if other drinks are also available. Each serving is about 200ml (a standard cup or ladle).

A good ratio is 1 part spirits to 4 parts mixer (juice and soda combined). This gives a pleasant flavour without being too strong. You can adjust to taste — weaker punches are better for longer events.

Mix everything except the fizzy soda and ice up to 24 hours ahead. Add soda and ice just before serving so the punch stays bubbly and cold. Cut fruit can be added 2-3 hours before.
